Trainer
Alex Lindsay is a Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist and non-medical prescriber with a passion for providing high-quality mental health care. With a Masters degree in Advanced Healthcare Practice, he has a strong background in acute and liaison psychiatry, making him a well-rounded professional in his field. Alex's dedication to his work is evident in his commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest developments and research in mental health. He is a skilled communicator and works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure his patients receive the best care possible. He has achieved an award in education and training. Outside of work, Alex also dedicates his time to coaching as an England Boxing Level One Coach. He values the importance of physical health as an integral part of overall wellbeing and enjoys helping others achieve their fitness and educational goals. With a multifaceted skill set and a passion for helping others, Alex Lindsay is a valuable asset to the training team.
Danny
Trainer
Danny Fryer is a compassionate mental health nurse who has been working in healthcare since 2005. Currently, he holds the position of Senior Mental Health Nurse in Acute Mental Health Services, where he provides critical care to patients with complex mental health needs. Throughout his career, Danny has gained extensive experience working in various healthcare settings, including secondary care and forensic mental health services, while working closely with primary care providing advice and consultation. Danny is a highly qualified professional, with an Award in Education and Training and degree-level qualifications in mentoring. His passion for teaching and education has led him to become a sought-after mentor and instructor, and he is well-respected in his field for his expertise and commitment to his profession. When he is not working or spending time with family, Danny enjoys exploring the UK on his beloved motorbike and hiking in the national parks. His love for adventure and the great outdoors keeps him active and helps him maintain a healthy work-life balance. Danny is a firm believer in the importance of self-care and strives to lead by example, both in his personal life and in his professional career.
Warren
Trainer
Warren Stanton is a mental health nurse with over 19 years of experience working across acute mental health services. He has also held clinical management positions in the NHS and is a registered CQC manager with extensive experience in compliance and governance. With a keen understanding of what it takes to achieve an overall good rating with the CQC, Warren brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as a mental health trainer. In addition to his clinical experience, he has also spent two years teaching and educating others within the mental health industry, making him a highly skilled and effective trainer. What sets Warren apart from other trainers is his unique perspective, drawn from years of hands-on experience in both clinical and management roles. He has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by mental health and other professionals, as well as the complex regulatory requirements that must be met to ensure quality care for patients. Warren's personal philosophy when it comes to training is focused on providing practical, actionable advice and guidance. He believes in empowering people with the tools they need to provide the best possible care for their patients, while also ensuring that they meet all necessary regulatory standards.

Academy.
The world of training is constantly evolving, companies and employers are facing continued and ever growing pressures on resources including staff and there is a need to identify a more timely responsive approach that does not dimmish quality.
That’s why NEST will introduce its e-learning Academy in 2024. The Academy will allow for training to be delivered by Webinar, there will also be a full e-learning suite which will include online accredited courses that can be studied from a distance. The Academy will also compliment blended learning and offer free further education courses.
Ongoing development and support for you or your business
Our first suite will be a free series called ‘Beyond Mental Health First Aid’ and will include discussions with employers who have completed the mental health first aid course. Together we will examine the effectiveness of the course and implications for future learning. The series will also include online certified and accredited CPD courses on various topics extending the knowledge learned during the MHFA course.
