About NES Training

Nicki Smith BA(Hons), RNMH, RMN, ENB 998, C&G 7307Qualified as a nurse in 1988 and has nursed in many different environments, hospitals, community services, nursing homes and day centre.

Throughout her career she has taught within Further Education and the Private Training Sector delivering Health and Social Care and Management NVQs, and vocational training.

 Nicki has considerable experience and knowledge of issues relating to caring for people with multiple needs and within a variety of environments and uses this to deliver her courses in a way that concentrates on applying theory to the practical area.

Deadline approaches for Including AEDs in Courses

In June 2016 the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) published a First Aid Bulletin stating that the use of an AED should be taught on all workplace first aid courses by the start of 2017.


Current First Aid Regulations: October 01 2013

The Health and Safety First Aid regulations were amended so that the HSE no longer approve first aid training or qualifications.
